🎉 BIG NEWS, Colorado! 🎉
The Mile High 150 Expo just got even bigger — and we couldn't be more fired up to share what's coming August 1st at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport.
✈️ THE AIRSHOW IS ON. Historic warbirds take to the Colorado sky in tribute formation flybys, followed by high-energy aerobatic performances that will have your jaw on the floor. The Mile High Air Boss is calling the show and the Front Range is the backdrop. You do NOT want to miss this.
🎸 THE LINEUP IS HERE. Denver's own My Blue Sky — Colorado's premier Allman Brothers tribute band — opens the evening with 45 minutes of Southern rock and blues. Then Scotty Hasting, Purple Heart recipient and Nashville rising star, headlines with a 90-minute set. This is a night of music worthy of 150 years.
🚁 300 DRONES close out the night with a choreographed light show above the Front Range. Colorado's 150-year story, written in the sky.

Aircraft Spotlight: T-28A
🛩️ 800 horsepower. Tandem seating. 285 mph.
The North American T-28A Trojan entered U.S. Air Force service in 1950 as the primary pilot trainer of the Korean War era. Thousands of American fighter pilots earned their wings in the T-28A.
Our aircraft, N92TL, is now based at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield — and it will be flying at the Mile High 150 Expo on Colorado Day, August 1, 2026.
There is nothing quite like the sound of a Wright R-1300 engine over the Rocky Mountains.

Aircraft Spotlight: SNB-5
✈️ Meet the Sonoran Beauty.
Built in 1943. U.S. Navy service through World War II and the Korean War. And still flying today — right here at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield, Colorado.
The SNB-5 "Sonoran Beauty" (BuNo 39265) is a rare Beechcraft Twin Beech 18 in its original Navy configuration — one of the finest flyable SNB-5s in existence. She carries 5 passengers, cruises at 215 mph, and is operated by the Commemorative Air Force Mile High Wing.
On August 1, 2026, she'll be on the ramp at the Mile High 150 Expo as part of the Colorado 150 Flyover — a living piece of Colorado aviation history on Colorado's 150th birthday.

Colorado History Did you know? Colorado became the 38th state on August 1, 1876 — just 28 days after the United States celebrated its own 100th birthday.

That timing gave Colorado a nickname it has carried ever since: The Centennial State.

On August 1, 2026, Colorado turns 150. That has never happened before. It won't happen again for 50 years.

We'll be celebrating on the terminal ramp at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport in Broomfield — with warbirds overhead, live music on the stage, and 300 drones lighting up the Front Range at 9:30 PM.
