ASTER Women's Chamber Choir Singing Beautiful Music Together Mythology holds that asters originated when Virgo scattered some stardust on the earth.

About our name: in the book "The Meaning of Flowers," Gretchen Scoble says,
"Asters speak of the tiny beginnings from which all great things proceed." The flowers sprang up where the stardust fell." ASTER specializes in folk music, music of the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, as well as contemporary music which draws on these musical roots. We will commission new works for the choir composed by women composers to add to the reportory of music for women's choirs.
