I had the joy of helping Ceclea finish this vintage top that her mother made years ago from flour sack fabrics. She wanted it finished to gift to her little sister on her birthday. What a special gift and fabulous way to honor her mother’s hard work and creativity! These are the projects that make me love what I do. I hope it’s part of their family for years to come!

The best part of my job is seeing all of the unique quilts that people come up with. Sometimes they’re a reflection of their past, but my favorites are the ones that give insight to a person’s personality. This quilt made me laugh! Shea is someone with a good sense of humor and a little twist of quirkiness, as you can see in her quilt! I love it!

We quilted “two simple” on this one, a simple design that wouldn’t detract from the imagery. ☺️

Amy’s My Little Pony version of Jen Kingwell’s “Pick-a-Petal” was so fun to quilt. We did this one with the quilting design “Love, Moon and Stars”. The best part are her embroidered ponies over the log cabin blocks. They’re perfect! 🌈✨
