Get to Know Me!
Now that there are some new faces here I wanted to share a little about my journey and the story behind Selah Dance Company.
Hi! I’m Chloe Sieber, Founder of Selah Dance Company. I’ve been dancing for about 15 years, exploring nearly every style, performing, and competing. Dance has always been a place where I feel free, expressive, and alive.
In high school, I became serious about ballet. I trained at Jax City Ballet, and danced as a company soloist in their pre-professional program. I had the opportunity to compete at Universal Ballet Competition and perform roles in The Nutcracker (Spanish, Doll, Snow) and Sleeping Beauty (Fairy/Soloist).
One of the moments that shaped me most was choreographing my senior solo. That’s when I realized my love for creating; for bringing movement to life in a way that tells a story and touches hearts. Shortly after, my teacher asked me to teach for her. That simple “yes” started my teaching journey.
I’ve had the joy of teaching ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, pre-pointe, and more. However, ballet and lyrical will always hold my heart; the grace, emotion, and storytelling are unmatched in my opinion.
Selah was born from a calling I couldn’t ignore. It wasn’t just about opening a studio; it was about obedience. The Lord made it clear this was my path, a way to steward the gifts He’s given me. I wanted more than a studio, I wanted a ministry. A safe space where students feel loved, encouraged, and seen; where they can grow technically and spiritually; where worship is in every movement.
“Every movement a moment of worship” is more than a tagline - it’s the heart of Selah. Even in motion, we can pause, soak in His presence, and connect with Him and ourselves. That’s my hope and prayer for every student.
To every family who has trusted me, prayed for this studio, and walked alongside this vision - thank you. Selah exists because of obedience and community. Thank you for making this first year so sweet already. I cannot wait to see what God does in the future.
I’m so grateful you’re here. Welcome to Selah. 🤍
