ATTENTION PARENTS…SAVE THIS DATE!

Mandatory Parent Meeting to be held on August 22 at 10 AM, followed by Youth Theatre and Acorn Theatre AUDITIONS.

The Youth Theatre mandatory parent meeting will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 10 AM, followed by auditions for all Youth Theatre productions. Youth Theatre productions include the musical ANNIE Jr. in November, and the play, THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE in December. Acorn Theatre will present THE HOBBIT in March of 2027.

IMPORTANT …Everyone interested in Youth Theatre auditions must RSVP by email to Marie at [email protected] to reserve spaces(s) for the meeting as well as the audition schedule. Please indicate how many will attend the meeting as well as the ages of the children.

Live Oak Theatre offers a wide range of opportunities for children (PRE-K – 18) and adults to learn about all the performing arts. Some of the classes offered include beginning and advanced tap, jazz and ballet, voice, musical theatre, improv and acting at various levels.

Private lessons in a wide range of musical instruments are also offered at the conservatory. All classes are taught by veteran performers and instructors.

REMINDER!!! AUDITION DEADLINE FOR "ANASTASIA" IS JUNE 7TH.

AUDITIONS FOR MAIN STAGE PRODUCTION OF “ANASTASIA.”

Everyone interested in auditioning for our main stage production of Anastasia must email their video auditions with a list of rehearsal conflicts and other information (see instructions) to [email protected] by 11:59 PM on Sunday, June 7th! Anastasia will be performed over three weekends in October.

Everyone interested in being considered for the show must record a video of them performing the song(s) outlined below! Please upload your audition as an unlisted YouTube video with your name in the title of the video. You can submit your audition as one video OR separate videos for different elements of the audition material.

Audition format:
Please state your name, age, and role(s) you're interested in being considered for at the beginning of the video. Please record auditions in front of a solid color background.

The Callback dates are Thursday, June 25th and Saturday, June 27th.

ABOUT ANASTASIA, THE MUSICAL
Anastasia is a musical with a book by Terrence McNally, music by Stephen Flaherty, and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, based on the 1997 animated film and the legend of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia. It tells the story of Anya, a young woman with amnesia who, with the help of two con men, tries to discover if she is the lost Russian princess, all while being pursued by a Bolshevik officer. The show blends romance, adventure, and historical fiction, exploring themes of identity and family, and features elaborate costumes and music.

All camps... especially our Musical Theatre Camp... are almost filled. Musical Theatre Camp has approximately 10 openings remaining.
This is an excellent way to introduce a child to various performing arts skills.

Live Oak Theatre Camp - June 8-12th 10am-4pm, for boys and girls ages 7 through 18. Tuition is $150. Topics may include:
• Vocal technique & Song interpretation
• Costume & Set Design
• Movement to music
• Auditioning skills
• Acting skills.

Dance Camp - June 15-219th 10am-2pm. A beginner dance camp for 8–16-year-olds. Tuition is $75.
Improv Camp - June 15-19th 2:30pm-5:30pm for ages 8+, an acting camp focused on the skill of improvisation. Tuition is $75.
