Spoons at the waist, three hundred years from now, al & dog and their conspiring barnstormers have traveled uncountable lengths on their voyage, guided sporadically by a bear, a weather witch, and a mysterious, mischievous, and minuscule Cabbage Man. Perpetually pursued by ants and eternally lost, the peregrinate band always seem to find themselves transported by clouds to the present.
al & dog is a solo performance art project based out of West Virginia. Through the composition of fragments and the use of shadow puppets, physical theatre, and other creatures of the nonhuman and (in)animate variety, they play with language and gesture to create absurdist non-narratives.
