October is a very personal month for me. Several years ago, it was the month I underwent surgery for breast cancer. My mother is also a breast cancer survivor, so this cause holds a special place in my heart.

This October, I want to turn something personal into an opportunity to give back.

For every bartending package or catering package booked with Bars On The Go LLC during the month of October, I will donate $100 directly to a breast cancer awareness program.

Your event doesn't have to take place in October. Whether you're planning a wedding for next spring, a holiday gathering, a birthday celebration, a corporate event, or another special occasion in the months ahead, any qualifying bartending or catering package booked this month will count.

Breast cancer has touched my family, and I know so many of you have your own stories, too. This is my way of giving back to a cause that means so much to me and supporting the ongoing work of breast cancer awareness.

Who else is up at 8 a.m. making stuffed mushrooms? Apparently, I am.

When you care about what you serve at an event, the little things matter. It’s been a while since I’ve made these, so I wanted to get back in the kitchen, make a batch, and make sure everything is just right. If there’s anything I can improve, I want to know before it ever makes it to your table.
