In a show with no spoken words, the music carries everything.
We are so proud to introduce Bahar Royaee, the composer behind You Have Arrived.
Bahar's acoustic and electro-acoustic music has earned praise as "a poetic incantation, brimming with ideas and colors" and "haunting." A recipient of Opera America's 2025 Discovery Grant and the Fromm Foundation Commission Award, her work has been featured at the Ojai Festival, the Venice Biennale, ECLAT Festival in Germany, and many more stages around the world. She is currently an Assistant Professor at Boston Conservatory.
For You Have Arrived, Bahar created an original score that moves through grief, resilience, and the quiet dignity of survival. It is the emotional spine of the show.
We are raising funds to make sure Bahar and every artist on this production is paid for the extraordinary work they have done.

✨ TODAY: Puppet Building Office Hours with Tiina Suhonen
Tiina’s puppetry life started with snow sculptures and cartoons in the remote village where she grew up in Finland. Later, she did 13 years of classical art education in Finland and Norway and a lot of practice in different fields of art ranging from portraiting, graphics, photography, drawing and sculpture - learning stone masonry, bronze casting, wood carving, paper making, welding etc. She says, ”The combination of sculpting and the variety of all possible "alternative" materials combined with character design made me float into the puppet design and constructing, which I have now done for almost 20 years.”.
This one-hour session is a chance to:
* Ask build questions
* Get unstuck on a current project
* Learn from a master builder working in real-world conditions

OUR NEW SHOW "YOU HAVE ARRIVED" IS ABOUT TO, WELL... ARRIVE.
This summer, we put the finishing touches on a show that has been years in the making and take it on a three-festival tour across Canada: 1001 Patentes, SpringWorks~PuppetWorks!, and Puppets Up! We could not be more excited.
You Have Arrived tells the story of one woman's journey through climate displacement. Her story — spoiler alert — turns out to be everyone's story.
And the journey does not stop there. This fall, we bring the show to the Puppets in the House Festival in Verona, Wisconsin and the STAND Festival in Vancouver.
The artists who built this show poured their hearts into it. While touring brings in income, festival fees alone rarely cover the full cost of what it takes to get a production on the road. We are raising funds to bridge that gap and make sure every person who helped create this work is paid what they deserve. Rising travel and shipping costs are real, and your support goes directly to the people who made this possible.
