MBYB is back! Cathy Gigante-Brown and Darryl Alladice were invited to perform at the opening of the show "We Live in Bay Ridge" at the Coop. The audience was very attentive and responsive--many of whom probably have never seen a spoken word event like this before. Many thanks to Alicia Degener, who curated the show and has work in it, for inviting the team to perform.

For fans of MBYB, we highly recommend Jacqueline Woodson's new novel "Another Brooklyn." It takes place during the same time much of MBYB does (the 1970s) and even quotes song lyrics from the era. Woodson is a powerful writer; it's sure to strike a chord.

Highlights from the July 10 performance of "My Brooklyn, Your Brooklyn" at 440 Gallery. Intimate reception afterwards where attendee Eila Masur later commented about the show, "It was a wonderful reading! I love how you and Darryl played off one another in a lovely literary dance!"
