There are still some seats in our afterschool classes! Tuesday kids 4-5:30, Thursday tweens 4:15-6, and Friday Open Age 4:30-6:15 are open.

Playing with underglaze is back! This 6-week course takes place on Thursday mornings with Tiana Tucker . Studio will provide amaco velvet underglazes, chalks, pencils and spraypaints. Open to all levels!

🍃Join us for an immersive Siekopai Pottery Workshop with Yadira Ocoguaje! 🍃

Friday, September 25 at 7pm: artist talk with Yadira Ocoguaje (open to the public, suggested donation $15)

Saturday, September 26, 1-5pm: Workshop and demonstration (tickets at the link in bio)

Yadira, artist and Siekopai Nation leader, will guide us through this living ancestral practice. You’ll connect with the territory and culture by working with natural pigments and handmade tools, all while creating a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects the Siekopai worldview. 🌎

✊The Siekopai people are fighting to protect their forest and culture from threats like oil and palm oil expansion. By attending this workshop, you are not just learning an ancient art—you are supporting the economic autonomy of indigenous women and the preservation of their land and traditions. ✊

Gasworks is honored to be a part of Yadira’s USA tour through Bernardsville, Asheville, Washington DC, and New York for climate week. We hope you can join us!

So excited to have Michele 樊小韵 joining us this fall for a special 6-week course on making sculptural lanterns!

Students will create their own lanterns using a mix of hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques. Michele will demonstrate all the ways she brings these forms to life with sculptural and floral additions.
