Meet the artists this week at our monthly Artist Talk on Sunday, June 21 at 4:40pm. Joy, Gail, Axelle, Hyunju will talk about their artwork in the gallery. Moderator Karen Gibbons will guide the discussion—including audience Q&A—and help us discover more about the process and thought behind the work.

Come by early to check out the artwork, chat a bit, and chill in the fun gallery space.

“in Bloom” a solo show of watercolors by Joy Makon, is a collection of paintings featuring seasonal blossoms, Park Slope street scenes, and even a special vista from Athens, Greece.

“An Unfolding of Moments” in the Project Space, showcases work by Axelle Destaing, photography, Gail Flanery, monoprints, and Hyunju Kim, constructions made of fiber and thread.

A special evening of music, Thursday, June 25 at 6:30pm. Guitarist Tomas Rodriguez performs selections from his newest album “Whispered Awakening.”

SUNDAY: Our art influences the music. Stop in—noon to 6pm—to view our shows and take a seat at 4:40pm to enjoy a live improv set as trombonist Brian Drye brings his sound to the gallery. Hosted by Michel Gentile from connectionsworks.org and 440 Gallery artists Joy Makon and Gail Flanery. Suggested donation $15
