WON EH PRINTS is an artist-run printshop located in Brooklyn, New York. WON EH began as an apartment gallery and curatorial project in 2016.

In 2020 we started Won Eh Prints to create limited edition artist prints by artists we admire.

Ricardo is best known for his paintings that focus on simplified mark-making to depict the figure and the inner psyche. His print, Head, is a summation of intuitive and immediate marks building upon an idea of a fragmented face. Reduced to the rudimentary elements, the smiling head fluctuates into hurried lines, shapes, colors and words simultaneously revealing a certain humor and a profound elegance.

Influenced by expressionism, Ricardo Gonzalez’s work focuses on simplified mark-making to depict the figure and the inner psyche. Reduced to the rudimentary elements, the smiling head fluctuates into hurried lines, shapes, colors and words simultaneously revealing a certain humor and a profound elegance.
Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and numbered by the artist.
A portion of every sale will be donated to the Coalition for the Homeless, the nation's oldest advocacy and direct service organization helping homeless men, women, and children in New York.

New print by CHRISTOPHER DUNLAP 💙🖤

Tremelo, 2021
Archival pigment print on cotton rag paper, 19.5 x 16.5”

Christopher Dunlap’s print, Tremolo, is a combination of analog and digital processes exploring his fundamental concerns of the grid, color and emergent patterns. For this print Dunlap began by painting on canvas to establish a firm geometric foundation. He transferred this geometry into the digital sphere to further construct and manipulate with a variety of image-editing software to create a playful pattern of color and shape. Overall, Tremolo holds an elusive figure/ground relationship creating a meditative experience as the viewer becomes immersed in its pictorial space.

Through the layering of rings and circles in systematic colored pattern he creates an abstract “tablet” that appears to float on the white of the page by the playful inclusion of an illusionistic drop shadow. By compounding and confusing the figure-ground relationship of the pictorial space, Spoerndle provides the viewer an opportunity to engage in his fundamental subject - ‘the act of looking.”
