In Arthur Kopit’s Chamber Music, eight women gather inside an Asylum to discuss the imminent attack they face from the men’s ward. The women are…or at least believe themselves to be…eight famous figures from history: Gertrude Stein, Susan B. Anthony, Joan of Arc, Queen Isabella I, Osa Johnson, Pearl White, Constanze Mozart, and Amelia Earhart. This production sheds new light on Kopit’s absurdist p

lay and features a never before seen ending contributed by Kopit himself. Performed in the basement of a church, join us in this immersive, site-specific production of Chamber Music directed by Emily Moler. performances will be September 7th, 8th 9th, 14th, 15th, and 16th in the basement of St. John’s Lutheran Church at 8:00 p.m. John's Lutheran Church has services every Sunday at 10am!

The themes and subject matter of Chamber Music have inspired the cast and crew to find ways to give back to our community and other communities in need here in New York, in the United States, and around the world.
After each performance we will be presenting a different charity that the cast members have chosen and are passionate about, providing the opportunity to donate and more information so that each audience can help us to share all of the work they do as well. The organizations are:

Sept 7- Harvey Relief (The American Red Cross)
Sept 8- Women's Refugee Commission
Sept 9- Project UROK
Sept 14- El Puente Presente
Sept 15- Environmental Defense Fund
Sept 16- St. John's Lutheran Church, Greenpoint, NY

We hope that you will join us in supporting these organizations, thank you.
