A mark in motion.

Our new logo reflects what we believe: that art is a living system.

It moves. It connects. It cross-pollinates.

It holds experimentation and invites curiosity. It gathers eclectic voices in search of meaning.

At Noo Arts, nothing stands alone. Artists, audiences, disciplines, and ideas exist in dialogue.

This logo is not a fixed symbol. It is an ecosystem.

Noo Arts.

How do you pronounce our new name?

We asked around.

The results were… creative.

Some said “new.”
Some said “no.”
Some said “nooo?”
Someone confidently said something entirely different.

Here’s the official answer:

It’s Noo.

(It’s like Moo…but New)

Say it with us.

Noo Arts!!!!

✨A New Name for a New Era! ✨

Today, we are stepping into a new era.

NOoSPHERE Arts is evolving, and with that evolution comes a refreshed visual identity and a name that reflects who we are becoming: Noo Arts.

This is not a redefinition of our mission, but a refinement of it. Over time, our community has naturally called us “Noo.” The word feels open and immediate. It carries the spirit of experimentation and curiosity that lives at the core of our work.

Our new logo reflects movement and interconnection, honoring the dialogue between art, ecology, and community that defines us. We believe in cross-pollination, in art as a space where disciplines meet and ideas evolve.

NOoSPHERE Arts remains our foundation.
Noo Arts is its distilled expression.

The mission remains.
The community remains.
The intention deepens.

Thank you for being part of this unfolding.

🌿 OPEN CALL | WE ARE NATURE 2026
✨ Transformation Stories
📍 Noo Arts @ Governors Island, NYC
📅 May–October 2026

Noo Arts invites NYC-based artists to apply for a rent-free studio residency as part of WE ARE NATURE: Transformation Stories — our annual multidisciplinary summer series exploring art at the intersection of ecology, urban space, and collective change.

For 2026, we expand from our Brooklyn rooftops to the historic grounds of Governors Island — activating studios, performances, exhibitions, workshops, and public gatherings across the season.

This residency is a working studio program supporting research, experimentation, and production — culminating in monthly open studios and public presentations.

🌱 PHASE 1 (May–July 2026)

Nature, Material Composites & Metamorphoses
Process-driven proposals exploring ecological systems, hybrid materials, and states of transition. We welcome experimentation and research-based inquiry.

🏛 PHASE 2 (August–October 2026)

Monuments, Nature & Transformation
In dialogue with Governors Island’s military past:
What is a monument today?
What do we choose to honor as power, memory, and ecology shift?

🗓 Public engagement every third Saturday:
May 16 • June 20 • July 17 • August 15 • September 19 • October 17

Expect open studios, performances, installations, talks & experimental formats.

✨ Who Should Apply

Interdisciplinary / Hybrid
Visual Arts
Performance
Sound

Social Practice

NYC-based artists ready to actively use their studio and engage with community.

We seek artists who work mindfully across race, gender, class, and ecology — cultivating a collegial, self-directed, and collaborative spirit
