At Target Margin Theater, cultivating meaningful relationships with our community is an essential part of our mission. This past weekend, we celebrated a successful season of Degenerate Art with a finale of community events inspired with and by our neighbors.
On Friday, local artists from Sunset Park, South Brooklyn, and Staten Island filled the Doxsee with conversation and connection in the TMT Community Café.
On Saturday, our Young Artist Program packed the house with performances by the 4th graders of PS 971 in collaboration with Center for Family Life.
And just a few hours later, TMT hosted Women’s Empowerment Coalition of NYC for a Culture Night with performances, food, and support from The Korean-American Family Service Center, Arab-American Family Support Center, Yemeni Cultural Center, Ballet Folklorico Quetzalcoatl, Chinese American Planning Council, Homecrest Community Services Inc, and NYC Civic Engagement Commission!
All of these events were FREE and created integral community connection that we are honored to be a part of.
