Bushwick Gallery is excited to announce the artists selected for Studio Summer Residency 2026, led by Vedika Chauhan alongside resident artists Marleigh Belsley and Rika Mantaring.

Together, the residency brings together practices spanning experimental video, sculpture, installation, photography, and material-driven exploration. Across the summer, the gallery will transform into an active studio environment focused on experimentation, process, dialogue, and creative risk-taking.

As Residency Lead, Vedika Chauhan will help guide the collaborative energy of the program while developing her own interdisciplinary practice rooted in photography, design, sculpture, and visual storytelling. Alongside her, Marleigh Belsley explores the relationship between digital media, climate systems, and embodied installation, while Rika Mantaring brings an intuitive sculptural practice centered on memory, transformation, and material tension.

Studio Summer is designed as a space to create freely, test new ideas, and allow work to evolve publicly through conversation and experimentation.

An Open Studio Showcase will take place on June 26th, inviting visitors into the process itself.

A major close to Botanic Bodies at Bushwick Gallery this week as we welcomed acclaimed art critic, curator, writer, and Whitehot Magazine New York Editor Liam Otero for a special exhibition visit and gallery tour. It was an honor to have Liam spend time with the work, meet artists, and experience the exhibition firsthand during its final days.

Throughout the week, Botanic Bodies evolved into an immersive exploration of transformation, intimacy, memory, and organic form — filled with thoughtful conversations, private tours, collectors, artists, and an incredible opening night atmosphere.

Guest Curators Vedika Chauhan and Abigail Prakarsa brought together a compelling and emotionally layered exhibition featuring works by:
