Ghost Ensemble creates experimental music that expands our perceptual horizons through shared immersive experience. Rethinking the norms of composer/performer collaboration, the ensemble conducts long-term exploratory workshops to nurture truly innovative musical approaches. Since 2012, Ghost has premiered 29 new works by a diverse range of composers. Ghost’s 2018 LP We Who Walk Again, with premiere recordings by Sky Macklay, Pauline Oliveros, and Ben Richter, received wide critical acclaim. 2021’s upcoming Mountain Air features premiere recordings by Oliveros, Marguerite Brown, and Teodora Stepančić.
