FRANCESCA ANDEREGG AND ERIKA RIBEIRO: IMAGES OF BRAZIL // TWO WEEKS AWAY // SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

“The most delightful disc of Brazilian chamber music to come along in years” - Fanfare Magazine

Images of Brazil is a project of violinist Francesca Anderegg and pianist Erika Ribeiro: a decade-long collaboration exploring the breadth and depth of Brazilian music. The performance is accompanied by the work of Brazilian photographer Aline Müller, the images behind the music.

Their two albums — Images of Brazil (2018) on Naxos Records and Navigator of Silences (2024), streamed over a million times — were received with critical acclaim that confirmed the project’s place in a broader conversation about how classical musicians engage with living musical traditions.

Season 12 is officially underway!

We kicked-off the season with a beautiful evening celebrating the artists, patrons, friends, and community who make National Sawdust truly special.

Our deepest thanks to Keir GoGwilt, Edgar Garcia, and the extraordinary artists of The Zarabanda Variations for kicking-off Season 12 with us. This performance was made possible thanks to the generous support of The Howard & Sarah D. Solomon Foundation.

Following the performance, we gathered at the Wythe Hotel to raise a glass to the season ahead. We’re especially grateful to the Wythe Hotel, a proud Season Supporter of National Sawdust, for hosting our artists, patrons, and community and for their continued partnership.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. And a special thank you to our development team at National Sawdust, AJ and Ashly, for ensuring we had a great kickoff! Season 12 has begun, and we can’t wait to welcome you back for everything ahead!

Come As You Are.
