Amadeo Morelos Favela (b. Morelia, México) is a New York based artist working across painting, sculpture, ceramics, and living systems. His practice explores relationships between materials, perception, and environment through experimentation grounded in everyday experience and informed by philosophical, anthropological, and metaphysical research. Approaching the image as a site of encounter rather than representation, his work investigates shifting relationships between science, belief, ecology, and perception. Through installations and paintings that blur distinctions between the natural and artificial, the mystical and mundane, and the material and imagined, his work creates spaces where meaning emerges through sustained attention and experience. Morelos received an MFA from Columbia University and a BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is a recipient of the Frankenthaler Fellowship and the Liu Shiming Art Foundation Scholarship.
The exhibition also features work by .dimock Adrian Gray
