Shadowboxing in Blue performance comes with a boxing therapy workshop, and here is why ๐ฅ๐ฅ
1. We believe in the importance of taking care of one's mental health, in life or work environment alike - non-contact boxing has proven benefits in reducing anxiety, stress and depression, as well as boosting self-esteem, mood and concentration.
2. We aim to create a real bond between the performers and the audience. A shared exercise, a shared embodied experience creates opportunity for better engagement during the performance itself, for everybody is able to relate to certain movement patterns and to the people on the stage (boxing ring).
3. Boxing workshop prior to the performance gives chance to know and better connect with your community. Whether you are coming together with the people you already know or are meeting new faces, spending quality time together helps to build trust - which can then lead to deeper personal relationships or stronger organizations from within.
