💜 “We are deserving of beauty.”

💜 “We are entitled to the inherited wisdom within our bodies.”

Under the February snow moon, we return to the gorgeous harvest from the end of last summer. Deep thanks to my community of embodied journeyers. To journey prompts such as the above, we danced! We dreamed! We released, and we conspired to amplify vibrations of love, healing and goodness in our bodies and in our community.

Within the pandemic, the climate crisis, increasingly digitized and physically dislocated societies filled with anxiety and chronic stress, body-based social rituals such as DANCITECTURE re-root us in place and in relationship with each other to build architectures of resilience. We can't wait for the weather to be warm enough to do this again!

“Designing the built environment is an act of choreography.”

“Can the design of our public spaces partner with us to expand perspectives and be a bridge to new experiences? Can it dynamically respond to our changing needs? … Designers are agents for the built environment to partner with its users in a dance of being alive!”

consists in building context-specific dance labyrinths using architecture as a choreographic tool to invite movers to repattern their embodied knowledge of space and design, uncover memories stored in the body, and push the edges of their movement vocabulary in dialogue with the environment.
