The Brooklyn Lyceum’s procedural due process fight rages on! FOUR Appellate Division judges lied to foreclose a cultural heart—home to 31 Bond (*NYTIMES* writeup) and *moby dick:the sermon* (*New Yorker* cartoon), and performances by the likes of Fiona Apple, Amanda Palmer, Brooklyn Rider and the Knights Orchestra. Eric Richmond is battling to void this theft, and he’s at the Fabulous 5th Avenue Fair this Sunday, May 18, 5th Ave between 1st and 2nd St, at his Swaslu.com coffee booth. Swing by to chat, grab a coffee, maybe an espresso shake, and join the fight to save the LYCEUM stage. Visit Art-Ocracy.org to learn more and scream this B---SH*T with us!

King Con Brooklyn home up off the mat to take a puncher's chance.

Long time, no post. NewsFlash: If 19< 26, the Lyceum has a puncher's chance to unwind a quagmire of an appellate decision with multiple flat out lies by 4 judges w/ more than a century of combined legal experience. Stay tuned. Get some popcorn. We tried to do this quiet like... got the bums rush from clerk of the court, an MIT grad who knew darn well that 19 is not MORE THAN 26!

The more things change (Colin Kaepernick’s take-a-knee that cost him dearly) the more they stay the same (Jackie Robinson’s defiant lament, ”I cannot stand and sing the anthem” ).
Every few decades the racial discrimination issue bubbles up to the front of public consciousness and then that inconvenient truth is soon reburied.

Maybe we’d be reflecting more on his lament, “I cannot stand and sing the anthem.”

Help the Brooklyn Lyceum get DUE PROCESS from two judges up for re-election on Nov 5, 2019 who have not acted smarter than a 5th grader by signing a couple of affidavits that show you are smarter than a 5th grader, something those two judges have, as yet, failed to show. Judge Reinaldo Rivera, in shades of Indiana circa. 1897 attempting to legislate pi as 3.2, found that October 19 comes after October 26. Judge Donald Scott Kurtz granted a motion in 2011 when the Notice of Motion said the hearing was in 2001. Pretty stupid, and, if all the legal prof's we have consulted are right, this type of dumber than a 5th grader-isms lead to the inevitable

--The Brooklyn Lyceum will soon be heading ONCE MORE UNTO THE BREACH in search of due process by turning Judicial Lemons into Lyceum Lemonade. Help us make it happen quicker. Throw down some time and an affidavit or two about what you see. In return you get Lyceum Curatorial votes when we get back in business.
--Then you can help program a venue that has seen the likes of Fiona Apple, Amanda Palmer, Vernon Reid, Yo La Tengo, Marc Ribot, Jose Gonzalez, and scores of others.
--Click https://brooklynlyceum.com/wip/10078 to see how. If you are pressed for time, read the RED tabs.
--Review some simple docket items: two Notices of Motions, one Proof of Service, one Decision (two para), 2 simple statutes, two attorney affirmations, and a 142 page Decision and supporting papers (a PDF) to find any affirmation dated one of two dates (they don’t exist).
--Then you are ready to speed up the Return of the Brooklyn Lyceum because the unavoidable issue is that the courts (lower and appellate), in an ill advised attempt to short circuit due process for the Brooklyn Lyceum (made up facts, altered docket for plaintiff, partial quoting of caselaw), created a winnable battle.

Star Trek's Captain Kirk re-programmed a Star Fleet Academy simulation that was designed to have the Star Fleet candidate either lose his ship, himself and all his crew in battle or lose a freighter (the Kobayashi Maru) in the Neutral Zone.
