Back in 2002, I recorded this demo in my apartment and gave it to my father as a gift. It was never meant to be heard by anyone else. I forgot about it completely until a few days ago, when he sent it back to me.
It’s called “Mouthpiece.” It’s raw, unfinished, but listening now, it takes me straight back to being a kid, watching him get ready for his gigs, standing in the doorway wishing I could follow him out into the night. Love you pop.
