Join us for a 2 hour workshop to make a planter! Our instructor will guide you in a handbuilding workshop to make a new home for your plant. Then we’ll glaze your pot in the color of your choosing, your glazed planter will be available for pick up at BKLYN CLAY 2-3 weeks after the class.

In this single day workshop, Genna will share various techniques of applying underglaze, including a unique method for integrating the foundations of water color painting and traditional tattooing. Students will be introduced to an array of techniques for applying underglaze to pre bisque fired mugs.

Cups provide a perfect entry point for learning the basics of handbuilding. In this 2 hour workshop an expert instructor will guide students through the fundamentals of coil and pinch methods as you create your own unique cup. Participants will get to keep one finished piece from the workshop which will be fired and glazed by our staff. This is an excellent workshop for beginner handbuilding students looking to dabble in clay and receive a functional cup as a memento of their experience.
