GLAAD Hangout with host Jerron Herman (Jerron) and special guests Lolo Spencer (Lauren “Lolo” Spencer) and Jillian Mercado (jillian mercado).

Lolo Spencer, the Film Independent Spirit Award-nominated actress, advocate, and author, and Jillian Mercado, the groundbreaking actress, iconic model, and activist, are brilliant, culture-shifting forces redefining authentic representation across Hollywood and fashion. Together, they are the co-hosts of the fabulous We’ve Been Like This podcast, a necessary space exploring identity, power, pop culture, and who gets seen, heard, and centered in modern media.

Celebrating Disability Pride Month, both powerhouses are celebrated for openly, boldly, and rawly tackling industry stigmas, demanding authentic inclusion, and centering disabled joy. From starring in major television hits to disrupting high fashion, Lolo and Jillian consistently use their platforms to deliver humanizing, unfiltered, and uplifting discussions.

Beyond the podcast, Lolo is a lifestyle advocate sharing vital perspectives in her book Access Your Drive and Enjoy the Ride and her weekly newsletter, while Jillian continues to redefine modern beauty standards from her historic campaigns for Calvin Klein and Olay to her standout role on The L Word: Generation Q.

Award-winning dancer and 2024 United States Artists Fellow Jerron Herman brings his expertise in creating images of freedom on global stages to this vital conversation. Together, they will dive into the power of visibility, the intersection of art and advocacy, and what it means to lead with unapologetic authenticity in an industry that is constantly being pushed to evolve.

Doing my part to make your summer 🥵🥵🥵
Come see Zavé Martohardjono Christopher Núñez Tamisha A. Guy (TAG) 🇹🇹 invigorate the David Rubenstein Atrium Lincoln Center this July/August with dazzling new/reimagined works. LINK IN BIO

“Into the Blue” was to consider the melancholy, beauty, weight, presence of a color in our flag, or a color that reflects life, or a color that designates citizenship - how does history and emotion flow within a hue? Well, these artists (who I’ve DONE BEEN obsessed with) answer and push the provocation even further. Thank you for the invitation, Lincoln Center, because we’re taking it and then some!

Flow with us this summer 🌊

I am grateful to have been the 2025 Movement Research NYSCA AiR where I dabbled, dithered, created, cried, and wondered in my own movement construction without prejudice or thought to production. What a gift!

Thank you MR: Barbara, Marya, Studio staff, the other MR AIRs, MR@Judson, Martita, Ryutaro, etc!

Naturally, after some years doing studio work you think you’ve gamed it - you know what to do, how to create and yet it I was completely reintroduced to myself. I have such a profound sense of welcoming with MR. That’s home.
