Bunk Club

Bunk Club Bunk Club is an initiative founded in Brussels by Mathias Wille and Laurence Dujardyn.

Under the header of Bunk Club we aim to combine curatorial strategies with the active promotion and support of emerging artists. Currently we are focusing on printed matter by publishing a series of "FAN OF" zines and editions.

There are early memories of an elementary school teacher drawing on the dry-erase board. This teacher would draw umbrellas during lesson plans, more so than any other object. The way he drew the ribs of the umbrella making each section one by one was fascinating. There was no question he didn’t enjoy drawing that object. In that same year, a classmate’s Mother was convinced by her son — and other students — to draw characters from the Donkey Kong video game. They were beautiful pencil drawings. I was lucky enough to receive the blowfish. This is something that I have never forgotten.

The images in the booklet are scans of oil transfers. They are of mostly teapots and one shoe.

Irina Jasnowski Pascual makes sculpture, drawings, performances and videos. Her work deals with formats of dissemination such as Public Access Television and technologies of reproduction. She has created performances and time-based work for Les Urbaines Festival (CH), Montez Press Radio (NYC), Indiscipline/WIELS (BE), Manhattan Neighborhood Network (NYC), Museet for Samtidskunst (DK), Kunstplaats Vonk (BE), Spectacle Theatre (NYC) and Kunsthal Extra City (BE). Her sculptures, drawings and installations have been exhibited in Kai Matsumiya (NYC), Ettablisement d’en face (BE), White Columns (NYC), Interstate Projects (NYC), Gern en Regalia (NYC), Liste Art Fair (CH). Irina Jasnowski Pascual received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Cooper Union in New York City in 2017. She is currently artist in residence at Callie’s, an experimental non profit institution in Berlin, Germany.
