Blending hand-painted artwork with live visuals and projection, she transforms stages into vibrant, dreamlike environments. As the creator of the Bayou at Big Fam Music and Arts Festival, Kat brings her signature KatFish magic to every experience and is proud to contribute her work to Femtronica in celebrating women in the electronic music industry. 💪

Fly like a seagull, to the sea. Fly like a seagull, let my spirit carry me 🌊 These guys are hanging out with me until it’s time to head back to the Bayou! So much work goes in behind the scenes to make extra special - I really hope you all enjoy the little details - don’t miss your chance to experience the magic of the Bayou this September 💚

So much of my time in the summer is spent preparing the Bayou for September, that I have to say no to so many job opportunities and events, but for the past few years, I have made it a point, to take some time to come out and support one of my favorite events, organized by some of the best people in our community - so be sure to catch me and Fisher at Great Lakes Flow this Friday - incredibly happy to carve out a little time so I don’t have to miss this amazing event 💜

Walking through the Bayou pre festival, is surreal sometimes - we find ourselves slowing uncovering the magic here, as we are trying to give the space a new life and a place to flourish - the ground are becoming lush and green, full of moss, mushrooms, frogs, and the most even the most beautiful moth we have ever seen irl (moth photos courtesy of )

Sometimes when I walk through, it looks the the ground is sparkling.

Upon closer inspection I realize, it’s not sparkling… it’s actually glass! (I included a pic of all of the glass I took out of the ground in that area) sometimes uncover the magic, and sometimes we uncover the things that were left here before us

Some people think we are crazy spending so much time here before the festival, but we do everything we can to ensure that the grounds are as safe as possible to walk through and to make sure it’s even more beautiful than we dreamt it could be. The transformation is truly incredible.

We cannot wait for you to experience the magic of the Bayou at this year. If you never go, you’ll never know.

And also, BIG LOVE to every beautiful human that has come early to help us, whether you were working a shovel, helping with the build, raking the grounds, or even picking up twigs - We appreciate you and are so grateful for the work everyone has put in to help us prepare the Bayou for September
