AV that supports the message — not the distractions.
Some events come with a pretty impressive room.
This one featured Anna Wintour in conversation with EZRA Coaching at Chief in New York, bringing together senior leaders from organizations including Walmart, Mastercard, PVH Corp., TD SYNNEX, Condé Nast, and others for a conversation around leadership, influence, and making bold decisions.
My role was focused on one thing: making sure the audio being captured from the venue's in-house system was clean, clear, and reliable for the event recording.
We took a feed directly from the venue's audio system into a dedicated field recorder, with redundant recording in place as a safeguard. During setup, I noticed the incoming signal was distorted. I worked with the venue's in-house technician, who coordinated with their remote engineer to make the necessary adjustments before recording.
It's a relatively small detail in the overall production, but these are exactly the kinds of details that can determine whether recorded content is usable afterward.
A great conversation deserves great documentation.
