Since October, Gung Ho Projects and Raising Health have hosted a theater workshop for immigrant adults in Sunset Park that fuses storytelling and English-language learning. Join us for the group’s final presentation as they use puppetry and original dramatic writing to revisit life-changing moments. RSVP to reserve a free spot.

Desde octubre, Gung Ho Projects y Raising Health han organizado un taller de teatro para adultos inmigrantes en Sunset Park que fusiona la narración y el aprendizaje del inglés. Get ready for Language City, an outdoor performance about the past, present, and future of New York — the world’s most linguistically diverse city.

The project is a collaboration between and Gung Ho Projects, premiering at Little Island Manhattan’s extraordinary new park, on August 14, 15, 17, and 18 at 6:30 pm (note no Friday performance).

All shows are free and no tickets are required.
The performance will feature text adapted from the book Language City by ELA Co-Director Ross Perlin , as well as documentary film, live music, and poetry in some of the city’s more than 300 endangered, Indigenous, and minority languages, including , , , and .

Join us at 5p on Sunday, March 12th for CARE/FULL, an an original performance created by immigrants in Sunset Park on the theme of "care." Created in partnership between Gung Ho Projects and public health non-profit Academy of Medical and Public Health Services (AMPHS). The ensemble hails from six different countries and is doing such brave, beautiful work. Come support them! See flyers for more details.
