Are you itching to make a cool, cardboard constructed costume at The Craft Salon? Fear not! Join Noelani Fishman on Wed 10/14 from 6:30-9:30 at the studio, they will guide you through the steps of creating a custom costume out of cardboard, tape, glue, and paint. This is an adult workshop but feel free to make something for your kid! Nani is no joke - they won 4 costume contests in a row with their cardboard constructions so you can make one that will be the envy of the neighborhood. Link to register in bio. I accidentally stumbled into the Brooklyn Yarn Crawl today when I went to pick up some fabric at Catherine Clark. Much to my surprise I met the lovely lovely Lili Loops and of course had to buy some yarn, and I got to see the beautiful work of Studio. It was a serendipitous crafty girl meetup and I am always here for that. 😍🩷🧶🧵🪡 I’ve been practicing new tricks on the sewing machine including these puffy bow and ruffled heart bag charms.

Today was a really special workshop. We had our OGs come over for pizza, crafts, and a movie. They picked a GREAT FILM and most of them are separated by middle school now so there was lots of catching up and connecting. Great to see some parents too - we will definitely do this meetup again! Also, one of our favorite kids brought her junk journal that she started last year with Teddy Fink and she is still working on it! I’m so verklempt!!!

Our sweetest B and his hand sewn tote bag! Aurora Borealis FTW. One time I asked him what his super power was, and he answered “always having a positive outlook” and OMG he could not be more correct. We 🩷 this one and his incredible kindness and enthusiasm. Today he helped another new kid in class and it melted my heart. Since he “graduated” from our after school program we are so happy to see him in our Saturday sewing class! NGL, I’m having fun back behind the sewing machines.
