-- I know, I know, it should be Thursday but today's Tuesday and I am going to forget.
This was taken sometime between late 1978 and about 1984. I suspect earlier because my father looks pretty slim and has a decent amount of hair. Note the snazzy vinyl and genuine fake wood dining room furniture. Fully in view is one of the only photos I have of my father, on the left that's definitely Uncle George's hands, on the right, likely to be Aunt Lillian but also...I really think Grandpa had a shirt like that. That is my mom's red cigarette case, which she loved. It got damaged and I had the idea that the black duct tape would fix the problem and look cool. I think I was right. I also took this photo with a Polaroid Instant camera. People just smoked around their kids, you can kind of see another brownish ashtray towards the right on what I know is a TV tray. And I had probably been in the empty chair, where I could get a real good lungful from the yellow ashtray.
I also guarantee you what was in the cigarette case were Benson & Hedges menthols.
