Today is - show up for LGBTQ youth!

I’ve spent a bit of time recently sharing more about the chellenges, confusions and fears of being a Christian child who didn’t quite fit the heteronormative lens in the late 1980s and 90s. The importance of those that use their platform to help promote safety and resources for LGBTQ youth today is very important to me.

GLAAD joins people and organizations across the world to take a stand against bullying and show their support for LGBTQ youth.

Board Member Frankie Grande, will match your donation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $10,000! Make your Spirit Day gift to GLAAD before midnight October 17th.

I also want to note these sponsors. I was shocked and delighted by them:

Community Sponsors this year include: Hyundai, Kirkland & Ellis, the NFL, the NBA, the WNBA, the New York City Department Education, the New York City Council. This year’s “A Night of Broadway,” Gala hosted by Frankie Grande at The Box in New City was presented by McDonald’s.

GLAAD’s core programs nurture and inspire cultural understanding, prove that inclusive and positive representation matters, and work to shatter stigma and discrimination – one LGBTQ narrative, image, and character at a time. Join me in supporting this important work with a gift today. Together w...

Thank you to all the brave, intelligent writers who have submitted their words and perspectives!
