I extend my congratulations to the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew. Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew
A post on a Saint Kitts and Nevis online page on Fiestybook platform brought to my attention Dr. Drew’s appointment to chair a Caribbean Community committee focused on Rastafarian issues. Instead of offering commendations, the page chose to introduce St. Kitts politics, detracting from the positive aspect of the announcement. It seems the page either overlooked or lacked awareness that Dr. Drew is deeply involved in the Rastafarian faith from birth and is well-positioned to understand its struggles. After reading the post, I felt inclined to express my disappointment but chose not to, instead deciding to write about it on my own page. Indeed, Dr. Drew’s experience and position make him eminently suitable to lead this initiative, and it is fitting that someone with his firsthand understanding of the faith is using his position to advocate for the cause.
