BrooklynComicShop is an online Vintage Comic store that operates a seasonal sidewalk comic stand from March to December, located at Literary Walk (The Mall) in Central Park NYC (Saturday, 10AM-4PM) and at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn (Sunday, 10AM-4PM). The Brooklyn Comic Shop operates an outdoor stand from Spring to Fall located at "Literary Walk" in Central Park, NYC during the week. On the weeke

nds, the stand is open in Brooklyn at Pratt Institute at Apple Art store, 321 DeKalb Ave (Saturdays) and Trader Joes on Court st/Atlantic (Sundays). There are hundreds of affordable comics $1-$5, as well as more collectable comics from Golden to Modern age. Other items include original artwork, signed comics, and vintage toys/collectibles.

Remembering Sam Kieth: I traveled all the way up to Boston Comic Con about a decade ago bc they had an amazing lineup of Artists- some of which i had never seen at a convention before, Sam Kieth was one of them. The lines were packed and they had competing times for their most famous guests.. i had to choose between Sam Kieth and Frank Miller…. I chose Frank Miller and tried to cath the end of Kieth’s line but it had already been shut down.. i thought that would be my last chance ever to meet the reclusive artist and beat myself up over making the wrong choice.. but about 3 years later Kieth was an honored guest at NYCC and this time i made sure to be in his line… he didn’t have a stand in artist ally.. just a few appearances in the main floor… i met him and he was so quiet and genuinely humble.. he signed all my books and drew a maxx head on some for fun.. i had the feeling that this was my last chance and i was very thankful to have met one of the greatest artists of the 90’s… now he had passed too early and its a terrible shame bc he had so much good work left to do!
