She has performed widely in New York, and New Jersey including at the Peoples Improv Theatre, the Magnet Theater, Caveat, the Moth, The Fat Black Pussycat, The Liar Show, Kraine Theatre, the Tank, Word of Mouth Storytelling in Lambertville, Montclair StorySLAM, and This Really Happened at the Hopewell Theatre. Carla is also co-producer, with Adam Wade of the Hoboken-based On the Waterfront Storytelling Series. By day, she is a labor lawyer, union leader, and professor. Hey Grackle Peeps! We’re back Thursday July 25th at 830pm with another great group of storytellers. Our theme this month is Boys Of Summer. One of our performers that’ll be sharing a story for this Don Henley inspired theme is

Richard Cardillo is a lifelong resident of the Lower East Side in Manhattan and has been an educator for over three decades. He still considers himself more of a learner than a teacher....but always a storyteller! Rich is a six-time Moth StorySLAM winner. He’s performed at, Yum’s The Word, Pros(e) Of Pie, Story Collider, The Liars Show, RISK!, and was recently featured on The best of RISK! #12 Podcast. He was also recently featured in the PBS Series: “Stories From the Stage”. Rich just finished a run of his solo show “Invisibility” at The Frigid Festival. One of his Moth GrandSlam stories just aired on the Pride edition of the Moth Podcast. Rich is a passionate activist (garnering his first civil disobedience arrest in support of immigrant rights while inside Trump Tower!). His playground voice has transitioned nicely to become his protest voice!
