Professional Center of the Arts mourns the loss of PCA alumni, teacher, and original Eclectic Dance Theatre member, Ron Bell.

Below is a message from Dr. Melissa Vaughan:

To my dance son Ron,

Ron, you have always been that dancing spirit by my side. Many men have come through PCA and graced us with their presence, but you were, and always will be, the original.

From PCA student to teacher, EDT member, artistic confidant, fashion and hair guru, the perfect dance partner for any woman, and simply a humble sponge who always desired to learn the artistry of dance. You embodied it all.

I will always remember the day you walked into the studio and said, “I think I can do that.” The rest was history.

One of the hardest things I have ever had to endure, outside of my own children, is experiencing the loss of one of my students before me. It is a pain I never imagined.

Still, I find comfort in believing that even the Creator needs a dancing spirit by His side. I can’t think of anyone more deserving, or a more perfect fit than you.

Love and miss you dearly, forever my dancing son.

Another day, another competition to SLAY! Last competition of the season and this time the Professional Center for the Arts Vision Dance Company conquered a new national talent competition, NEXSTAR!

Vision 1:
Platinum + for Hip-Hop and Jazz
Platinum for Lyrical
1st in Category for all
1st place in Super Star Category for Jazz
1st place Overall for Jazz and Hip-Hop
2nd and 4th place Overall for Lyrical

Senior Soloist:
Kamryn - 1st Place in category, 4th place Overall
Aniyah - Platinum and 1st Place in category, 6th Place Overall
Amaiyah - Platinum, 2nd Place and Elegance Award in category, 8th Place Overall

Judges Award - Entertainment Award
Choreography Award for Lyrical - Dr. Melissa Vaughan

Vision 3:
1st Place and Platinum + for Jazz, Lyrical and Hip-Hop
Judges Award - “Tiny but Mighty"
Overall Highest Score for a Trio Group in all 3 Genres - 1st Place Lyrical, 2nd Place Hip-Hop, 3rd Place Jazz
