Wala pa gani ta kakuhag klarong hustisya ug tubag sa pagkamatay nila Rene ug Divine sa Baler, Aurora atol sa team-building activity “KUNO” nga may kalabutan sa programang gi-organisa sa Ateneo de Manila University, naa na pud laing makapasubo nga insidente sa Tacloban.

Young Dreamer, Forever Remembered🏀

Hindi ako mahilig sa basketball, pero sumusuporta ako. Hindi ako umiyak dahil isa siyang basketbolista. Umiyak ako dahil napakasayang ng buhay na nawala bata pa at napakalayo pa sana ng mararating niyang mga pangarap, hindi lang para sa sarili niya kundi para sa buong pamilya.

Naiyak ako sa kwento ng buhay niya dahil maraming nakaka-relate. Sa panahon ngayon, bihira na ang mga kabataang may ganitong mindset na sa kabila ng sariling mga pangarap, pamilya pa rin ang sentro ng lahat ng kanyang pagsisikap.

They say, "Why are you crying over him? He wouldn’t even know who you are if he became famous." But you don’t need to know someone personally, nor do they need to know you, to recognize the goodness in their heart.. It’s true, I never knew him, yet I feel the pain not just out of pity for Bobet.. Rather, I grieve over the loss of a young person full of dreams, whose only wish was to lift his family out of poverty..

Bobet does not need our sympathy; even though his dreams were cut short too soon by this tragedy, so many people love and respect him for his kind nature.. And in that, we are the ones who are fortunate for he left behind a legacy that will never be forgotten..

There once was Rene Clert ‘Bobet’ Baterbonia, who inspired others, shared lessons, and taught us that you do not need fame to be loved and respected.. Above all else, it is the goodness of one’s heart that truly matters🙏🕊
