PO***CK & KRASNER: TWO RADICAL VISIONS. ONE ART-HISTORICAL REVOLUTION.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art

120+ works. Two artistic forces. One extraordinary dialogue. See how their careers evolved in parallel, intersected, challenged convention, and transformed the language of American art.

* Po***ck beyond the drip. Experience the monumental canvases, explosive gestures, and radical physicality that helped redefine painting after WWII.
Krasner in her own right. Long overshadowed by her husband’s fame, Lee Krasner was a formidable artist: restless, experimental, fiercely independent. Her powerful abstractions and inventive collages deserve to be seen—not as a footnote to Po***ck, but as a major contribution to modernism.

At The Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC
On view through January 31, 2027.

Vase of Flowers transports us to the birthplace of Cubism and the beginning of Picasso’s serious interest in the still-life. The setting is a corner of his studio at the Bateau-Lavoir, the rundown building in Montmartre where he painted Les Demoiselles d’Avignon (1907, The
Museum of Modern Art, NY). Excerpt taken from book by the authors.

“Picasso: Still Life” is an exceptional new publication curated and authored by Ross Fi*****io and Delphine Huisinga, founders of Castille Art Research.

This richly illustrated volume includes an extended curatorial essay by Fi*****io and Huisinga, as well as nine additional texts, each devoted to a single work. Accompanied by installation views, illustrations, and comparative images, these contributions further illuminate the enduring significance of the still life within the practice of one of the most influential and versatile figures in the history of art.

Published by Almine Rech Editions Belgium in collaboration with FABA – Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, this catalogue is issued in conjunction with Picasso: Still Life, held at Almine Rech New York from May 1 to July 18, 2025. Organized in collaboration with Fundación Almine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, the exhibition was curated by Ross Fi*****io & Delphine Huisinga, Founders of Castille Art Research.

A must-read for anyone passionate about Picasso, modern art, and art historical research.

Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this remarkable book to life. 👏

Summer liberation! One of the MUST SEE works at the Costume Art exhibition in the Met is “Nana and Serpent” (ca. 1992) by French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle.
Carved from painted marble, this joyful, voluptuous figure embodies the artist’s celebration of feminine strength, freedom, and vitality. Through her iconic Nanas, Niki challenged conventional beauty standards, transforming the female body into a powerful symbol of confidence and life.

The exhibition explores how the corpulent—or “fat”-body has been viewed throughout history: at once celebrated and marginalized, linked to fertility and abundance while also burdened by social judgments surrounding gender, class, race, sexuality, and power. Rather than presenting the body as something to be corrected, these works invite us to reconsider it as a site of beauty, identity, resilience, and cultural meaning.

* On view through January 7, 2027 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 5th Ave, New York City.

We thank Raw Vision for once again highlighting Mary Whitfield among the wonderful artists featured at the OAF 2026 Viewing Room. This recognition echos through the art world, as also acclaimed critic Jerry Saltz previously underscored the enduring importance of Whitfield’s vision and voice.

As poetically reflected in reviews from The New York Times and Raw Vision, Whitfield’s paintings carry the layered memory of Southern life—moments of joy and tenderness interwoven with trauma, faith, and history. At a moment when memory itself is fiercely contested, her work stands not as nostalgia, but as witness.

Visit Phyllis Stigliano Art Projects at the Outsider Art Fair 2026 Viewing Room, and contact us to arrange a private viewing of the concurrent exhibition Mary Unseen at the PSAP gallery in Park Slope.

This is a rare opportunity to collect Mary Whitfield’s work and become a steward of remembrance, legacy, dissent, and beauty—joining institutions such as the American Folk Art Museum, Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art, The Legacy Museum, and others.
