tonight 05.26 catch Planet/Tear: Early Warning Systems—a collaborative performance by 15 different musicians, sculptors, ceramicists, filmmakers, and experimental performers to create a living environment of sounding objects and unstable instruments. organized by char jeré .

inspired in part by boundary-pushing collaborations—including Butch Morris and David Hammons, Camille Billops and James Hatch, and Robert Rauschenberg with Jim McGee—the project treats performance as a living system rather than a composition. objects lead, humans follow, signals emerge, and the performance unfolds as a collective act of listening and responding. tickets in bio!

we’re among 28 organizations who were chosen by artists to receive an unrestricted $50K grant from Ruth Arts. this year, artists—including choreographers, visual artists, performers, writers, and musicians—were invited to nominate organizations that are generating and encouraging deep study and strengthening their communities’ critical understanding of and investment in art and ideas.

we’re deeply honored to be among such an impressive group of organizations and to be recognized in this way by artists. thank you Ruth Arts for supporting our work!
