“This is a very special mix I recorded for Peak Oil on Dublab at a pivotal point in my practice as a musician. I wanted to explore jazz vocalists' expansive brilliance through jazz, soul, and r&b. The voice is a powerful and organic instrument.”

Join us Sunday February 19th at Spot Lite Detroit for Act I of our Black Bottom residency celebrating the artistic and sonic genius originating from The Bottom— jazz, funk, soul, blues, gospel, disco, house, and techno.

We’re excited to welcome Neverending Nina, who’ll be making her Motor City debut alongside Detroit’s own powerhouse vocalist and trumpeter Baddie Brooks, accompanied by an all-star house band consisting of Afro Red, Ahya Simone, Kevin Christian, and Nova Zaii. The night of live performance will be supported by the soul-stirring, sensational selections of DJ Etta and The Darker Sista to keep the dance floor buzzing from start to close.
