~

i learned my lesson on watercolor painting in my sketchbook and this one doesn't have a bunch of paper pulp flying off everywhere! also the pigeon i used as reference was so close to me like it was wanting to be a model so bad

~

art deco angels and lichenstein remind me of running around midtown and straining my neck to look at all the architectural grotesques. also it's fall and i always get sick and go through ibuprofen

miku hatsune is everyone if you're brave and pure of heart enough to find her. even if you're out on a farm.

i saw the actual Trojan Horse from the Odyssey movie, and was like "oh what if it's blue," but also realizing that horses are a reoccurring visual motif in my life right now.

Left Los Angeles and couldn't stop thinking of all the stop signs.

the horses reappear and they've multiplied. the ribbon motif has also reappeared, but hasn't mutated into anything. also I saw the photos of Faye wong with the crunchiest pink hair, and wanted to immortalize her in some way

archive drawing #11.26 | symmetry, skyships, and lightning

i put so much water and watercolor on this page that it started fraying everywhere and oh my god I got so stressed. future note the moleskine sketchbook's water absorbency is limited, but it was fun working through an idea in a small format.
