In addition
to the Performing Arts Water of Life offers afterschool programming, tutorial, and computer access to all students. Volunteers are community members, students, interns, and teachers from local Universities Armstrong, SCAD and Savannah State as well as certified teachers currently and teachers that retired either from the Chatham County School system or abroad in helping our students achieve academically.
•Students round out their total dance experience by engaging in academic dance courses of the National Dance Standards and Georgia Quality Core Curriculum which includes, dance history, dance composition, performance, choreography, critical and creative thinking skills in addition they will learn injury prevention and healthful living.
•The dance department here at Water of Life Multi Cultural Performing Arts Education Center traditionally performs in small and large productions annually with dance works created by Dance teacher, guest artist and or feature student choreography.
•Choreography is produced both in class and extra afternoon rehearsals if needed. There are multiple opportunities for performing in venues from dance recitals, student produced Choreography Concerts, Chorus Concerts, Black History and musical productions, take tours and perform at local, out of town schools and events. Students will also participate in WAH WAH Annual African Dance & Drum Conference and International Festival- they will learn from and perform with master and professional artist local and from around the world.
•Each year interested dance students may attend the National Dance Festivals, locally, abroad, and have opportunities to work with local and National guest artist throughout the year. Given the relatively small class size, students work closely with each other and faculty in which allows students a great deal of personal interaction and growth. Now Accepting Registration
