I am currently making a documentary on my friend George Jacobs who is an incredible healer, specializing in psychospiritual counseling with the Holistic Health Community in the Hudson Valley of New York. Here is a raw video clip from my archives that will be a part of the feature documentary film that I’m making. I have finally released a trailer alongside a fundraising campaign to help raise money to complete the final edit of this film. George has been gardening for over 70 years, since the age of roughly 12 years old! The film that I'm making on him is called 'Soil to Soul.' It is a blending of stories and themes between the physical earth and our mental space, or mindscape. We are all interconnected, a part of the and one another, made up of the same energy and molecules. This film will discuss both practical and spiritual matters in terms of the health of our and on an and level.
Due to my "crazy" life circumstances over recent years, moving nonstop, art shows, and continually being in "survival" mode, just trying to get through each day with a feeling of safety, I have been delayed in the editing of this film. I shot most of the footage in 2023. I am going to share some of the raw footage here (including this raw clip) in hopes of creating a conversation around this work as I work toward raising money so that i can complete the final editing of this project.
This raw clip as well as many others will hopefully allow you to slow down, learn something about gardening, and see the beauty in the seasons, chaos, change, , unfolding of life. I shot the film during each season, beginning with winter, hoping to edit and reveal a storyline in congruence with seasons of change and astrological principles.
