Postal Service for the Dead

Postal Service for the Dead A collective project where people send letters for anyone in their life who has died. So, we invite you to write a letter that helps your healing journey.

Postal Service for the Dead is an ongoing, collective project where people send letters for anyone in their life who has died. Birthdays, death days, anniversaries, holidays, or seemingly random days can all spark grief. Writing letters to those who have died has always been a powerful tool, but we felt something was missing – the physicality of stamping and mailing it out. Today marks 3 years of Postal Service for the Dead ✨ what started as a sleepy idea has bloomed into a community growing one card at a time. To everyone who has shared us as a resources for grievers - thank you. To the hundreds of people who have sent letters - thank you. To the numerous people who work lovingly behind the scenes to support this project - thank you. For everyone who has hosted PSD for workshops and those who have planned their own community events - thank you. Each and every one of you has made this world a bit gentler in the face of loss.

Our mom, Mary Susan Sineni, would have celebrated her 70th birthday earlier this week as well. In her memory, give someone you love a big ‘ol hug 💖
