If only a picture could capture the size of this ginormous arrangement. It’s nearly my height and is about 4’-5’ wide - wider than me, even in my current 🤰 situation 😅.

Let’s talk BALLOON TABLE RUNNERS. They are adorable and unique. And when conversation goes stale between your guests they will always be able to say “damn I didn’t know balloons can be so darn cool!”

I loved working with Shelby from on this event. She really made this outdoor party look and feel “elevated” with these adorable table setting from .haus. Also so grateful to for capturing so perfectly!

Table Runners are $18 per foot and when the party is indoors, I love pairing it with balloons floating above.

As a side note, those letters spelling CHELLA, the birthday girl’s name are called Mosaic Letters and are really really beautiful but so so labor intensive and *expensive*! I get asked for them so often but the sticker shock turns people away. $350 per letter. Yes you heard that right. If your budget allows for it, let’s do it, but if not, we have lots of other letter options for a fraction of the price!

Please, please, for the love of god, tell me I’m not the only business owner that goes MIA on social media and can’t get my act together to post?? Instagram has been so backburnered at BVG but it’s like I sneezed, looked at my feed, and there’s not a post since graduation season 😬😬😬

That little girl isn’t the birthday girl, but she was wearing a watermelon bathing suit to her cousin’s Cocomelon themed party and I just thought it was more appropro to post her than the birthday girl. Also, if we were being honest, it’s easier to bribe a 3 year old to pose for a picture than a 2 year old who is busy enjoying her second birthday bash 🍉

To know me is to know a wild child, a free spirit, someone who hates to be tied down. Becoming the one that a little human depends on for their very life was the biggest topsy turvy my life endured.

April 3, 2015, after 27 hours of excrutiating labor and a deeply traumatic birth, my first sweet love, Zev, was born.

I said I’d never do it again. But 7 years later, there are now four little humans–Zev, Gavi, Becca, and Meli ❤️️

The incredible responsibility of giving life and sustaining life is something I realize more and more as each of my kids grows older. The accountability is unparalleled, knowing that my every word and action affects my child’s entire world. I am humbled by the power and it forces me to be better.

As if 4 kids aren’t enough, BVG is my baby too! In total, I’ve got five kids— five full-time jobs!

Being a mom and a business owner is hard. There never seems to be enough time in the day and the mom guilt can get heavy. I’ve learned to give myself grace and I pray that the sacrifices that my children make having a full time working mom are worth it. One thing I know for sure is that it is important for me that my kids, especially my daughter Becca, see a strong woman raising them. I want her to see a mom who does not acknowledge a glass ceiling– instead, a mom that drills through it and decorates the whole place with balloons!

Today we salute moms. Hats off to you all. I hope you feel celebrated and loved. I hope you make the space to congratulate yourself for accomplishing one of the greatest feats imaginable; bringing life into this world.
