Yesterday we lost a truly kind, caring, and compassionate soul. Rosette was more than a friend, a wife, a mother. She was someone who truly embodied goodness. She led by example. She gave without asking. She brought us all together and expanded our sense of self in community. You will be missed, Rosette. Thank you for being a part of my life, and for shining so bright while you were here.

This past week has been incredibly difficult and sad. My dear friend Rosette Diaz is fighting cancer, and her family is facing an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

If you’ve lived in Red Hook these past ten years, you likely know Rosette and the impact she’s had on our community. She has always been a shining bright light, a devoted mother and wife, a community organizer, and an incredible friend to so many of us.

A fundraiser has been set up to help her husband Aaron and their son Cooper through this transition. If you’re able to give, it would mean so much. And if you can’t, sharing this goes a long way too.

I know numbers don’t define art, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t proud of this.

Making music has been a life quest for me ever since I first started playing in 4th grade. To know that the work I’ve helped create, whether my role was big or small, has reached the ears of over 428,000,000 people is truly beyond anything I could have imagined.

I’ve never made music for fame or money. I’ve made it because I have to. Because it’s part of who I am.

Thank you to everyone who has listened, and thank you to every artist who has trusted me with their music. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly.

BIG NEWS!!! We got a new console day at Harbor Studios. 🎛️

We just picked up an AMEK M2500 from a kind soul in Dumbo, and while it’s reportedly been fully recapped and is in solid shape, we’re still going to fully clean up it up.

That means checking every op-amp, every solder joint, every ribbon cable, every grounding point, and every edge connector. We’re cleaning, measuring, reseating, and documenting everything before it even goes near the patchbay.

We’ll be verifying PSU rails, noise floor, channel uniformity, and making sure the inline monitoring path and group architecture play perfectly with our hybrid Pro Tools setup. Basically: we’re making this thing sing before the first session hits it.
