I have thought a lot about trees for many years and noticed how without any understanding of who they are, we are killing them.
The large part of the human race has given in to greed which began a long time ago (just look at human history--wars, torture, poverty, etc.)...and nothing is changing; in fact things are getting worse. Literally millions of innocent animals are tortured daily to feed human greed. And when I speak about this, people say, 'oh you shouldn't talk so much about your beliefs..."..This is not my belief! It's the truth!
It's simply too late. The corpses (corporations) have the power and they are making lots of money. But, as I discovered, the Earth is powerful--deep down in the center of Mother Earth is a fountain of power, a beautiful fire! full of life!! Thus, although it is too late for us, the Earth will rise again after we are gone..Here's a piece by one of my heroes, Charles Chaplin:
“Greed has poisoned men's souls,
has barricaded the world with hate,
has goose-stepped us into misery
and bloodshed.
We have developed speed,
but we have shut ourselves in.
Machinery that gives abundance
has left us in want.
Our knowledge has made us cynical;
our cleverness, hard and unkind.
We think too much and feel too little.
More than machinery,
we need humanity.
More than cleverness,
we need kindness and gentleness.
Without these qualities,
life will be violent and all will be lost.”
~ Charlie Chaplin.

There Will Come Soft Rains
Sara Teasdale - 1884-1933
(War Time)
There will come soft rains and the smell of the ground,
And swallows circling with their shimmering sound;
And frogs in the pools singing at night,
And wild plum trees in tremulous white,
Robins will wear their feathery fire
Whistling their whims on a low fence-wire;
And not one will know of the war, not one
Will care at last when it is done.
Not one would mind, neither bird nor tree
If mankind perished utterly;
And Spring herself, when she woke at dawn,
Would scarcely know that we were gone."
