Can you feel the sun🌞 ?

I added some notes on my thought process & techniques to this post.

My goal w/ this piece was to create an immersive vibe, as well as paint water. I find painting two different types of surfaces like water & skin usually makes the work more aesthetically pleasing.

BUT… it’s a lot harder than it looks.

Tbh it starts with picking the right reference. I chose this reference for the lighting, & the movement.

Capturing water splashing gives the artwork some movement which makes it feel more real.

This is a typical weekday for me, with a couples walks/smoke breaks 2-4 times a day.

Currently I hate to sleep & love waking up 🙃 - even the boring/quiet moments bring me peace.

I feel alive😅

Today I’m enjoying some Gelato, love the clarity it brings me while I work. It’s slowly become my favorite strain.

The last two slides are a closeup of a sketch study I was working on. For me it’s important to sketch everyday if I want to keep the likeness of my portraits accurate.

Focus on:
•finding the right niche
•make sure your art is good, if it isn’t invest more time & money into improving
•sell brushes that most people can’t or won’t
•providing some form of value w/ your brushes
•pick a funnel & master it!
