1. Franz Wilhelm Seiwert “Four Men in Front of Factories” (1926) an early warning on factories turning workers into robots…

Chamber Music Workshop in Aix-en-Provence

Great music...
Pre-formed groups: Come as a quartet, quintet or sextet. Focus on any work(s) of your choosing in coaching sessions.

Individual players are assigned to ensembles that rotate on a daily basis for coaching on Beethoven's String Quartet in E-flat major, Op. 127.

Workshop takes place at the same time as the renowned Festival de Pâques, a music festival organized by violinist Renaud Capuçon that features some of the best ensembles and soloists from across Europe.

Rich in historic and architectural heritage, this city of art and thermal springs in the heart of Provence is not to be missed. You will fall in love with Aix for its tree-lined boulevards, ancient fountains, relaxing café scene, and picturesque cobblestone streets.

Another beautiful, sunny day in Hamburg! Visited . Very interesting series of museums installed on a street of historic merchant houses. Museums celebrating Telemann, C.P.E. Bach, and Johan Hasse…two smaller (but very informative!) exhibits on F***y & Felix Mendelssohn and Gustav Mahler…and one house for the Brahms Museum.

A delicious lunch at Au Petit Bonheur, just around the corner from the museums.
