Cinco de Mayo celebrates the Mexican people‘s victory over the invading forces of a foreign king (Napoleon III).
In America our representation of Mexican culture can be cartoonish. And not in a good way. But beyond the margaritas there’s a message in Cinco de Mayo —No Kings. And No “frozen water” detention centers. SHUT THEM DOWN!. 🍹🍷
